At BHS our objective is to build more bridges and less walls. By this I mean build technological , communication, and financials bridges that will allow for you to move forward with ease. We have been adding technology into our system which you will greatly benefit from in 2017. The reason for the investment is because you have asked for it and our objective is to become and remain a pioneer in the financial services sector. In 2017 you will be able to easier transact with your friends, businesses, and have the online tools to maintain your financials affairs. And as we have done this year, we plan to increase our footprint. We understand the technology is important but it will never be a substitute for in-person services we have available across 12 locations in the United States and Canada.
Under the leadership of honorable President Macky Sall we are experiencing a similar kind of progress back home. The creation of a new city near Diamniadio is going to create bright future for our Country and will present many opportunities on the individual level. The plan includes construction of transportation routes from Dakar to the new city, development of 50-hectare industrial park, new airport, educational facilities, State ministry, shopping centers, and development of residential and business communities. The International Monetary Fund ( IMF) is expecting that this initiative will help increase the GDP of Senegal to over 5% next year.
This project will help create more jobs, homes, and will allow for internal circulation of our currency, which is the strongerst indicator of economic growth. BHS will continue to enhance mortgage programs for you to take advantage of all the opportunities the new city will bring. Let's continue to strengthen our community.
